Lucknow: The Global Investors Summit is going to start from Friday (February 10) in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate this 3-day summit. Through this summit, UP is expected to get an investment of crores, which will create new employment opportunities for the people of the state. However, in its familiar style, the opposition has also raised questions about the Investors Summit and described it as a show-off. Along with this, the opposition has alleged that the state government is signing MoUs with companies running from one room.

According to the report, Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former CM Akhilesh Yadav accused the state government of leading the state towards destruction instead of development. MoUs are being signed with industrialists to dupe and show off the public. This government is signing MoUs with companies that are operating work from one room. Akhilesh Yadav claimed that during the last summit, there was talk of signing MoUs worth Rs 5 lakh crore, but nothing happened on the ground. He alleged that the BJP government is signing MoUs with anyone in a suit tie.

At the same time, Congress has also joined the tone of the SP. State Congress spokesperson Akhilesh Pratap Singh also accused the government of using public money to mislead the public. He said that investment management agencies have been appointed for the summit. Akhilesh Pratap Singh said that the government should tell which are these agencies, how they were appointed, and how much money was given to them.

Akhilesh Pratap Singh further said that a similar conference was held in Lucknow in February 2018, in which MoUs were signed with 1,045 companies for an investment of about Rs 4.28 lakh crore. He claimed that only 371 of these companies arrived here for 'Bhoomi pujan', out of which only 106 or nine percent of the total are commercially capable.

Let us know that, thousands of domestic and foreign investors are going to announce investment projects for investment in various sectors from today in the Global Investors Summit. UP is estimated to get an investment of more than Rs 27 lakh crore through about 17 thousand investment proposals. These include investments of Rs 7.2 lakh crore from abroad. Through these investment proposals, the way will be opened to set up big industries in every part of the state, which will create employment opportunities for the youth of the state. According to a report, more than 20 lakh youth have been estimated to get direct and indirect employment through this investment.
