New Delhi: The Congress continues to be stuck on the Kashmir issue. They have scored several self goals on this issue so far. Congress has been divided on the issue from the very beginning. While some leaders supported the government's decision, many are in opposition. The Congress' grit became more and more when Pakistan wrote a letter to the UN complaining about India. In the letter, Pakistan referred to Rahul Gandhi's statements. Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala attacked Pakistan, saying that no matter how many prevarications Pak may have spread, the fact that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh were an unbroken part of India is always there and will always be.

Kashmir issue: BJP targets on Rahul, Naqvi said- 'Foolishness becomes Congress's problem'

Surjewala said that the Congress has taken cognizance of reports that Rahul Gandhi's name has been mischievously taken in the alleged petition filed by Pakistan at the United Nations on Jammu and Kashmir to justify the falsehoods and misinformation of Pakistan. The spokesperson said, no one in the world should doubt that Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh were an integral part of India and would remain forever.

Surjewala targeted Pakistan and said they should respond to the world's gross human rights violations in PoK-Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan should respond to the harassment of 700 million Muhajirs and the killing of 25,000 people by Pakistani security forces. He said Pakistan will also have to respond to the violation of human rights in Balochistan, the disappearance of thousands of people and the discovery of mass graves.

Speaker Randeep Surjewala said the world needs to remind once again that terrorist organisations like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Muhammad,  Al Qaeda and Taliban have had the opportunity to flourish in Pakistan. He said Pakistan should respond to these issues to the whole world instead of the rag off of Kashmir.

In a letter to the UN, Pak had said that Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the main party Congress in India, had admitted that "people are dying in Kashmir" and the situation there is not normal. The letter also includes the names of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti. With this letter coming, Congress is once again back on the backfoot.
