Mumbai: The post of Maharashtra Congress President has been given to Nana Patole. Before taking over, Nana said, 'He will make Congress number one party in Maharashtra'. Recently, he has clearly stated about the post of Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, 'That post is with the Congress and will remain with the Congress. The high command will take the decision as to who will be the President. Nana Patole has been elected state president on Monday.

After that, a meeting was organized on behalf of the Mumbai Congress for the preparations for the ceremony. According to the information received, the meeting was attended by Mumbai Congress President Bhai Jagtap, Shaleya Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad, former Mumbai Congress President Eknath Gaikwad, former Minister Baba Siddiqui, former MLA MLA Yusuf Abraham. In this meeting, the designation program to be held on 12 February was reviewed.

Talking to reporters after this meeting, Nana said, 'Congress party stands with farmers' He said that the farmers' movement will be given strength from Maharashtra. Nana Patole also said, 'This post was and will remain with the Congress. The Congress high command will take a decision on who will be the next president.'
