New Delhi: From Uttar Pradesh to Madhya Pradesh and from Delhi to Gujarat, the bulldozers' action is making headlines. Amidst all this, the Delhi Congress has claimed that the houses of 50,000 people in 16 villages adjoining the capital are in danger of bulldozers running. Not only this, the Congress says that if the civic body runs a campaign against the people in these villages, the party workers will protest on the streets.

Delhi Congress chief Anil Kumar hit out at the BJP while addressing a press conference on the issue. He claimed that representatives of 16 villages met him and informed him about the eviction action taken from his houses. "The next big target of the BJP bulldozers is 50,000 people living in 16 villages between Rajokri and Badarpur. These people have been living here since 1950 and these people have played an important role in the development of Delhi. Anil Kumar has alleged that in 2006, two BJP leaders had given gram sabha land of 16 villages to the forest department of the Delhi government for their political gains. Now the villagers of Delhi are paying a heavy price for it.''

He demanded that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should convene a special session of the assembly and pass a law and give the land back to the gram sabha. Congress leader Anil Kumar attacked the BJP and the AAP, saying the two parties have joined hands to destroy the houses of thousands of people for their own interests. At the same time, former MP Ramesh Kumar claimed that when the BJP was in power in Delhi, 7,000 acres of gram sabha land was given to the forest department.
