Mumbai: The way the veteran leaders of the opposition parties leave the party one by one and the BJP is holding the seat, there are a hue and cry. Despite a million attempts, the opposition parties have not been able to prevent their leaders from joining the BJP. That is why when Congress veteran and seven-time MLA Kalidas Kolmbkar said goodbye to the party on Wednesday, the Congress leader was left out.

The Congress has organised the Ladoo Divisions programme to hide its dismay and termed it as a traitor by shouting slogans against the leaders who left the Congress and were going to the BJP. It may be mentioned that three NCP MLAs have joined the BJP besides Kalidas Kolmbkar of the Congress on Wednesday. The NCP leaders include MLA Shivendra Bhosle from Satara, Sandeep Naik from Aroli MLA of Navi Mumbai, MLA Vaibhav Pichad from Ahmednagar and Chitra Wagh from Akole in Ahmednagar.

Earlier, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, leader of the Opposition in the Assembly and senior Congress leader, had also joined the BJP. At present, he is a cabinet minister in the Devendra Fadnavis government in Maharashtra. Congress is obviously trying to show that its leaders are not affected by the departure of Ladoos, but the fact is that the party is weakening day by day by losing senior leaders.
