New Delhi: It's not a win of the grand old Congress party in the recently concluded assembly polls at three states but loss of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated on Saturday. AAP Chief snubbing the  Rahul Gandhi led party amid murmurs of a possible pre-poll join between them for the 2019 general elections.

"The Congress hasn't won the three states (Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh) but it's the BJP who lost it. People did not vote to make the Congress win, but to defeat the BJP," Kejriwal was quoted by Times now as saying at the seventh National Council (NC) meet of the Aam Aadmi Party.

The remarks of Kejriwal justifiably did not go down well with the Congress, the party which has been riding high following whipping victories in the elections in 3 Hindi heartland states , with the leaders crediting their superemo Rahul Gandhi for scripting the victory.

Sources said that the coalition talks between the two parties AAP and Congress have been temporarily derailed following the controversial 1984 resolution that was passed the AAP-dominated Delhi Assembly.

Delhi's political backdrop is all set to get attention-grabbing in coming weeks, with political experts expecting new equations to appear in the New Year ahead of the mega 2019 elections.
