Bangalore: In Karnataka, the main opposition Congress has demanded the government to overthrow the BJP government led by CM B S Yeddyurappa. The Yeddyurappa Government has not yet formed a Cabinet for 18 days. "18 days have passed since Yeddyurappa took over as CM. However, the Council of Ministers has not been constituted so far, while the Constitution says that the Governor has to act with the cooperation and advice of the Council of Ministers.

He said, "I want to ask the Governor whether there is a Government in the State as per the Constitution? The Governor has to take cognizance of this matter and dismiss the Government. A Chief Minister cannot be called the Council of Ministers. He questioned the Governor's silence. Referring to the need for the Cabinet to be present while being affected by the floods in the state, the Congress leader said that a group of ministers with key portfolios helped in decision making.

He will wait for a few days in view of the crisis situation in the state due to floods and continuous rains and if the Cabinet is not formed, he will follow the legal route. Though Yeddyurappa visited Delhi last week, Amit Shah asked him to pay first attention to flood relief. Karnataka is in the grip of severe flood these days.
