Kolkata: As the BJP-led Modi government cracked down on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in West Bengal in the Birbhum case, Mamata Banerjee is beginning to remember the opposition leaders back. In fact, Mamata 'Didi' has written to several senior leaders of the opposition, calling for unity against the Modi government, but her words are not going down well with senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.

Congress leader Adhir Ranjan said, "Sometimes Mamata says that all parties should unite against the BJP. Sometimes she says shows solidarity against the BJP and the Congress, sometimes she makes a statement that the Congress is a sinking ship. His statement changes constantly throughout the day and night. Does the Congress leader say he doesn't understand how to trust him? It may be recalled that even during the Bengal elections, when the Modi-Shah duo along with their entire team were fighting against Mamata in the state,  Mamata was still reminded of the opposition. Then almost all the political parties had worked to support Mamata 'Didi' by pulling their feet back from the electoral arena. But as soon as she became chief minister, Mamata Banerjee's attitude changed and she started spewing fire against the Congress. He even called Congress a sinking ship.

Now, seeing her nephew Abhishek Banerjee being grilled by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the coal scam case, Mamata is once again reminded of the opposition. He has written to the Chief Ministers of non-BJP ruled states and leaders of opposition parties, urging them to come together in the fight against the BJP.   Mamata has also urged opposition leaders to hold a meeting to counter the BJP. Now Mamata's intention is to form a non-BJP government at the Centre and to a great extent, form a non-Congress government and become the PM herself.
