Ghulam Nabi Azad not found entry in Valley, Returned from Jammu airport to Delhi

Srinagar: Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad was detained by the administration at Jammu airport on Tuesday afternoon. Azad will attend the meeting to be held at the Jammu State Congress Committee headquarters. He was sent back to Delhi from Jammu airport. Earlier, Ghulam Nabi Azad and J&K Congress Unit Chairman Ghulam Ahmad Mir were detained at Srinagar airport.

He arrived at Srinagar airport on Thursday for the first time after the abrogation of Section 370 of Jammu and Kashmir. Ghulam Nabi Azad was scheduled to hold a meeting with leaders at the Congress party office in Srinagar. The meeting was related to the removal of Section 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Returning to Delhi, Azad had strongly criticised the power of Section 370 of the Constitution and the Reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir.

Azad had termed the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill as a black law. Ghulam Nabi Azad had said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had abolished Kashmir. Santana has been in the valley. Ghulam Nabi Azad reacted to a video by National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval saying that by paying money you can take anyone along.
