Kapil Sibal's attack on PM Modi, says, 'People need ration not speech'

New Delhi: Due to the crisis of coronavirus epidemic, lockdown is in place in the entire country and its effect is being most on the poor. Workers, poor people are facing ration problems, migrant laborers have problems going home. Meanwhile, Congress leader and former Union Minister Kapil Sibal has questioned the government's action. Sibal says that ration is needed, not just speech.

On Thursday, Congress leader Kapil Sibal tweeted that our salute to the gurdwaras, temples, NGOs, whoever is giving food to the poor, migrant laborers. Our people are ready to support the government, but the government should also support the people. Kapil further wrote that the government should help the people, not through speeches, but through rations and financial assistance.

Earlier, the concerns of migrant laborers have come out from different parts of the country which includes big cities like Mumbai, Surat, Delhi. Thousands of people came near the railway station to go home to Bandra, Mumbai, after which the situation started becoming uncontrolled. To get control of the crowd, lathicharge was done by the administration, when the workers went back to their areas.
