Chandigarh: A picture of Congress leader Karamjit Singh Gill has surfaced from the Golden Temple in Amritsar, in which he is seen wearing a T-shirt with the picture of Sikh riots accused Jagdish Tytler. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has also lodged a police complaint in this regard. This could land Karamjit Singh Gill in trouble. The SGPC has considered this matter as an inciting action and has strongly condemned it. SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami has said that Jagdish Tytler was the main accused in the Sikh riots and he can never be forgiven. Amritsar police have registered a case in this regard.

Gurdwaras in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh are managed by the SGPC itself. Karamjit Singh Gill's picture of a T-shirt with Jagdish Tytler's picture is becoming increasingly viral on the internet. Dhami has said that coming to the gurdwara wearing a T-shirt with a picture of a person like Jagdish Tytler is an attempt to provoke Sikhs. He further said that this is a completely well-planned conspiracy. He said "If a Congress leader does such an act in a gurdwara, it seems to be a well-planned conspiracy.''

Not only this, but he also called the Congress anti-Sikh. Dhami said the Congress has been anti-Sikh from the beginning. Today, Congress leaders have once again hurt the sentiments of Sikhs. Coming to Harmandir Sahib wearing a T-shirt with Jagdish Tytler's picture is an act to provoke the sentiments of Sikhs. He said Sikhs and others from all over the world have faith in the Golden Temple. He said that the sentiments of Sikhs should be hurt at such a holy place, it cannot be tolerated.
