Secondly, the good conduct of Navjot Singh Sidhu during his imprisonment has also been taken into account. A prisoner may be entitled to early release from prison because of good conduct. Let us tell you that Navjot Singh Sidhu was accused of a road rage incident in 1988.

The case pertains to the death of one Gurnam Singh after he attacked Sidhu and his friend in December 1988. On December 27, 1988, Sidhu and Rupinder Singh Sandhu allegedly parked their Gypsy in the middle of the road near the Sheranwala Gate crossing in Patiala. When Gurnam Singh, 65, reached the spot in a car, he asked Sidhu to move aside. There was a dispute between Sidhu and Gurnam Singh on this, and Sidhu beat him, due to which Gurnam Singh died.
