New Delhi: Veteran Congress leader and former Union Minister P Chidambaram has been nervous about bureaucracy. On the issue of democracy, while stressing on the alleged comments of NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, Chidambaram said on Friday that there is too much "bureaucracy" in the country. He has also targeted the Uttar Pradesh government over their new laws.

Chidambaram wrote in one of his tweets, "There is too much democracy, says a senior bureaucrat." Too much bureaucracy, says an enlightened Democrat. In a series of tweets, he asked the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government to enact a law against ' love jihad ' that the foundation of a new Parliament House was laid on the 'ruins' of liberal democracy.

Demanding the 'Nobel Prize' for the Yogi Government of UP in the field of literature and peace, Congress leader Chidambaram wrote in a tweet, "The creativity of UP deserves two Nobel Prizes-for literature and peace." In another tweet, Chidambaram wrote, "UP is the most creative state in law-making and application of the law and who could have invented a crime called 'Love Jihad'?
