New Delhi: The Congress today said on Friday (August 19) that the constant misuse of federal agencies against political rivals undermines their credibility and also gives an opportunity to the corrupt to escape. Shortly after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raid at the residence of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Congress national spokesperson Pawan Khera said that in such procedures, an honest person has to pay the consequences.
In a tweet, Kheda wrote, "One of the major disadvantages of the continued misuse of the agency is that even when the agency does the right thing, its action is viewed with suspicion. In such a situation, corrupt people escape by citing misuse and those who raise public issues honestly, continue to be victims of abuse. It is noteworthy that after registering an FIR in the Delhi Excise Policy case, the CBI conducted raids on Friday at 19 places apart from the premises of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Aarav Gopi Krishna.''
Giving information in this regard, the officials said that the CBI has registered an FIR in connection with the alleged irregularities in the formulation and implementation of the Delhi Excise Policy brought in November last year. Under which this action has been taken.
