New Delhi: Raising the issue of women, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has said that India is known as the rape capital of the world. Rahul Gandhi said that foreign people ask us why India is not able to protect its sisters and daughters. Attacking PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi said that, 'A UP MLA is involved in a rape case, but the Prime Minister did not say a word on it.'

Earlier, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi expressed grief over the death of the victim in the Unnao rape case and said that another daughter died in the face of justice and security. Rahul Gandhi tweeted on Saturday that he wrote, 'I am shocked  by the sad and heart-wrenching death of Unnao's innocent daughter, shaming humanity. Another daughter succumbed to justice and security. I express my condolences to the suffering family in this hour of grief.

Tell you that on Friday night at 11.40, the victim died in Safdarjung Hospital. The victim's sister gave this information. HOD of the hospital's burn and plastic surgery department, Dr. Shalabh Kumar, while confirming the death of the victim, said that at around 11.10 pm, the victim's heart stopped working. Despite all the efforts of doctors, his condition did not improve and he died at 11.40 pm.
