Chandigarh: Instead of showing solidarity, Congress leaders are engaged in demonstrating different power in the coming assembly elections in Haryana. Different manifestos are also being released among the public on behalf of the same party. Amid the ongoing tension between state Congress president Ashok Tanwar and former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Congress party chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala on Monday demonstrated his power by holding a Dalit Chetna Sammelan in Kaithal, his assembly seat.

It is being told that Randeep Singh Surjewala has been forced to tighten himself to save his seat amid the ongoing tussle between the two prominent leaders of the party in the state. At the same time, he has also issued a ten-page manifesto, making Dalit atrocities an issue in Kaithal. Earlier, in Hooda's Maha Parivartan rally held in Rohtak, several page booklets containing announcements were distributed among the public.

Bhupendra Singh Hooda, who took a rebel stand after tension with Congress state president Ashok Tanwar, held a grand change rally on August 18 in Rohtak. Pictures of top leaders like Sonia or Rahul Gandhi were missing on the banner poster on the rally site. It was discussed earlier that Hooda may decide to leave the Congress. But instead of doing something like this, he declared himself as the claimant of CM in Haryana from the Congress.
