Counting of votes has begun for 29 Lok Sabha seats in the state. The final results are expected in the evening. The most interesting battle is on the Bhopal constituency. Here, BJP candidate Pragya Thakur is pitted against former Chief Minister and Congress candidate Digvijay Singh. 

Meanwhile, Congress leader from Sehore and a news officer from Raisen died due to the heart attack. It is being told that the officer has died on the spot, while the Congress leader was admitted to the nearby hospital in critical condition, where he died during treatment. Congress District President Ratan Singh Thakur came to the heart attack at the counting place, which resulted in a rift, the workers and the police took him to the district hospital for treatment, where he died.

Meanwhile, As the BJP crossed the 250 marks, Rashid Alvi of the Cong party has alleged EVM tampering during the polling in Lok Sabha Elections. He said, "I stick to my statement, something happened with EVM."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading from Varanasi and Rajnath Singh is leading from Lucknow. Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, who is contesting from Bhopal constituency, is also leading from Madhya Pradesh.
