Lucknow: The UP police have made a shocking revelation about the attack on a Congress leader who showed a black flag to PM Modi in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Police said it was Congress leader Rita Yadav who opened fire on herself. Rita Yadav hatched the conspiracy to raise her political stature in the party. In fact, PM Modi had gone to Sultanpur on December 16 to dedicate the Poorvanchal Expressway. Meanwhile, Rita Yadav made headlines by showing a black flag to PM Modi and shouting Yogi-Modi Murdabad slogans.

Then, on January 3, she complained to the police that she had been fatally attacked. The police had registered a case and launched an investigation. After which the police have now made a big revelation. Rita Yadav had complained to the police that she was fatally attacked by unidentified assailants on the Lucknow Varanasi bypass over the bridge. She was also shot in the leg during this time. She was admitted to the hospital in an injured condition. On the other hand, Congress took up the issue and lashed out at the Yogi government in the state. However, the police found the case suspicious in the investigation.

According to police, Rita Yadav hatched the plot along with her acquaintance former village pradhan Madhav Yadav. So that she can get a ticket from the Congress party in the UP assembly elections. He was a driver of his MD. Mustakim, Suraj Yadav and Madhav Yadav and an unidentified person opened fire on themselves. Police said the attackers had accompanied Rita Yadav in the car and fled after executing the incident. Police have arrested three persons including Rita Yadav and put them in jail in connection with the conspiracy case. Weapons were also recovered from the arrested accused. Rita Yadav was earlier in the Samajwadi Party (SP). But she had joined the Congress in the presence of Priyanka Gandhi in Amethi saying she was not honoured there.
