New Delhi: On Monday, February 1, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the first budget of the decade. Many big announcements were made in this, while some such decisions have been taken by the Center, on which the political debate has intensified. Presenting the budget, Nirmala Sitharaman said that two more banks will be privatized. However, it has not been clear which bank will be privatized.

At the same time, the government is also going to sell to an insurance company. LIC will also sell its stake. The central government is going to bring IPO i.e. Initial Public Offering in LIC. Modi government will bring it in FY 2021-22. Reacting to the budget, Congress has said that the government is in the process of selling everything. Party leader and MP Shashi Tharoor taunted that this is a government that if a vehicle driver says that he needs to fix the brakes, then the carmaker says to increase the sound of the horn.

Congress Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor tweeted on Monday after the budget was presented that, this BJP government reminds me of the garage mechanic who told the car builder that "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
