New Delhi: Senior Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor on Friday attacked the Central government over India's poor condition in various development reports. Tharoor said that no matter how many votes the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wins, it is not a performance of the government. Shashi Tharoor also compared PM Modi's second term to the Congress-led UPA's tenure and pointed to the difference in the global development report.
Â
In the Modi Govt's second term, India has slipped from 94 to 111 on the Human Freedom Index (we were at 75 under UPA), from 79 to 105 in the Global Economic Freedom Index& from 129 to 131 in @UNDP's Human Development Report. Whatever wins the BJP votes, it's not govt performance.
