Bangalore: Only a few months are left for the Karnataka assembly elections. All the political parties including Congress-BJP and JDS are engaged in their respective campaigns in view of the elections. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has played an emotional card in the election environment. Siddaramaiah said that this will be my last election. 

Siddaramaiah has said in Bidar that this will be his last election. However, I will not retire from politics. I will support you all even after retirement. With the blessings of the people of Karnataka, I got a chance to become the CM. I was the Chief Minister for 5 years between 2013-2018. Devraj Urs was a CM who served for five years. After him, I was the only Chief Minister to serve for the full five years. It is worth mentioning that, earlier, Siddaramaiah while addressing a public meeting had said that if he could not fulfill the promises made to the public after coming to power, he would retire from politics and return home. Siddaramaiah assured Congress would fulfill the promises made to the people.  

Addressing a public meeting during Congress 'Praja Dwani Yatra', the former CM said, 'If we come to power, we will give 10 kg of rice, we have already given 200 units of free electricity and Rs 2,000 to women-headed households. has promised. You believe in us, don't you? No matter how difficult it is, we will fulfill our promise.'
