The Congress has been continuously attacking the UP government amid Corona havoc, terming Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's statement as a conspiracy against Dalits and backward. PL Punia, a Rajya Sabha member and senior Congress leader, has alleged that CM Yogi has presented misleading statistics regarding migrant labour-workers getting infected, leading to social disharmony. Leader Legislature Party Aradhana Mishra has also demanded the government to have a clear side.

On Tuesday, senior leader PL Punia first raised the issue of arrest of Congress state president Ajay Kumar Lallu in a conversation with journalists at the Congress state headquarters. He said that Lallu is getting punished for serving poor labourers. No one is being allowed to meet them in jail. The government is doing injustice to our leader, which will not be tolerated.

PL Punia has asked the government to cooperate in Lallu's bail. Also, the previous day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while talking to a news agency, said that most of the workers coming from Maharashtra and Delhi are infected with Corona. This statement will spread social disharmony because out of those who have come from outside, more people come from Dalit and backward society. The leader of the Legislature party Aradhana Mishra said that the Chief Minister's statement of infection has created confusion. If there is truth in the Chief Minister's statement, then the government should make the public aware of testing, infection data and other preparations with complete transparency.
