NEW DELHI: The Congress is now beginning to demand that the next Congress president be from the Gandhi family. Former External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh told a news agency that Priyanka Gandhi is capable of handling the party. "You must have seen what they did in a village in Uttar Pradesh. It was amazing. She stayed there and did what she wanted to do. Singh suggested that Rahul Gandhi's decision to change that congress president outside the Gandhi family.

Earlier, Anil Shastri, son of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, had said that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra should be made Congress President. Nobody else. SHe is 100 per cent accepted.

 Gajanand Hosle, a 28-year-old electronics engineer working as a manager at a manufacturing firm in Pune, has expressed his desire to become the Congress President. They are planning to apply for it.

Gajanand Hosle said that Rahul Gandhi is adamant on his decision to resign as Congress President.  The party is confused as to who should be appointed as the new party chief and I want to file my nomination for the post. He said, I will complete the process of primary membership of the party before applying for the presidency on Tuesday.
