New Delhi: Among the strongest strongholds of Congress, Punjab is one of the states where the Congress has done well in the elections compared to the rest of India. Senior Congress leader and Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh is considered to have a good hold in the state. Congress MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra has been appointed as his remaining advisor.

Actually, there is a lot of upheaval in Punjab politics these days. In such a situation, CM Captain Amarinder Singh has appointed 4 out of 6 angry Congress MLAs and two legislators as Planning Advisers. Of these, five MLAs have been given cabinet rank and one MLA has been given the rank of Minister of State. The order was issued by the Chief Secretary of the state on Monday.

According to the people keeping a close watch on the politics of Punjab, these appointments are being considered as an exercise to remove the long-standing resentments by the Congress high command. These six MLAs have been given important responsibilities, among them Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon, Amarinder Singh Raja Vading, Sangat Singh Gillijian and Inderbir Singh Bularia as political advisors to the Chief Minister in the cabinet rank, while MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra to the Cabinet rank and Tarsem Singh DC to the state. Planning Advisor to CM has been appointed giving the rank of Minister. Explain that there has been a long standing feud between CM and Sidhu in the state. That is why Sidhu resigned from the post.
