Jaipur: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday presented the state budget in the assembly, making several big announcements ranging from health to the unemployed and employees. CM Gehlot's announcements are also being seen as being linked to next year's assembly elections in the state. Meanwhile, Ashok Gehlot did not make any announcement about the demand for new districts in the budget speech, after which there has been resentment among the leaders and the public who have been hoping for a new district for a long time.

Congress MLA Madan Prajapat, who hails from Balotra, expressed his displeasure against the government outside the assembly yesterday and left his shoes outside the gate. Madan Prajapat, MLA from Pachpadra seat, had earlier resolved to never wear shoes during his assembly address till Balotra was made a separate district.

In the budget announcement of Rajasthan, not a single new district has been created this time also. Madan Prajapat, who was hoping for the announcement of the district in the assembly yesterday, walked out after the budget speech of CM Ashok Gehlot was over and took off his shoes in front of the media, saying that he will no longer wear shoes for the rest of his life.
