Bangalore: Congress MLA Srinivas Murthy has demanded a CBI inquiry into the violence that erupted in Bengaluru. The police has intensified the crackdown on the accused. Police have made five people the main accused in this case, while 200 to 300 accused are unknown. The state government has decided to use the Uttar Pradesh model to make up for the loss.
Congress MLA Srinivas Murthy said, "I did not do anything wrong with anyone. My house was attacked by a petrol bomb and my entire property was damaged. Congress general secretary KC Venugopal and other leaders discussed with me on the phone. I have not asked for any additional security. There is only one policeman for my safety". On the role of PFI and SDPI in the violence, MLA Srinivas Murthy said, "I do not want to give any statement on the investigation. It is seen in the video footage that some people had distributed money among the miscreants. I urge the government to take action against these accused."
State Minister CT Ravi says that the violence was preplanned. Petrol bombs and stones were used for property damage. More than 300 vehicles have been burnt. We have suspects, but can be confirmed only after investigation. We will do the same as the property was recovered in Uttar Pradesh from the miscreants.
