Bengaluru: A senior Congress MLA in Karnataka, R Ramesh Kumar, has apologised amid a heated fight after he made indecent remarks about women. Regarding his rape statement, MLA said, "I don't mind apologising. A case has been registered in Delhi against MLA's statement. On his rape statement, former Assembly Speaker and Congress MLA Ramesh Kumar said on Friday, "I have no objection to apologising if it has hurt the sentiments of women. I sincerely apologize.''

The Delhi-based NGO Society for Securing Justice has filed a case against MLA Ramesh against the same controversial remarks and demanded legal action against him and termination of his membership. The complaint appealed to the Karnataka Governor to take strict action against Ramesh and terminate membership for indecent and derogatory remarks against women.

Former Karnataka Assembly Speaker and Senior Congress MLA K R Ramesh Kumar had made a highly controversial remark in the Assembly yesterday saying, "When rape is bound to take place, let's have fun." The assembly was discussing the loss of rain and floods in which many MLAs wanted to table the condition of the people of their respective localities. Many people are outraged at the same leader's statement and after he apologized, many people are speaking. The same few people said to be within your limits before.
