Amritsar: Congress MP Ravindra Bittu has severely accused the Delhi Police. Ravindra Bittu alleged that on Monday, Delhi Police personnel beat up four Punjab Congress MPs. Ravindra Bittu raised this issue in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Following this allegation, the opposition MPs fiercely protested, due to which the Speaker of the Lok Sabha had to postpone the proceedings of the House.

Ravindra Bittu said that four MPs of Punjab Congress were holding a peaceful demonstration on Monday evening, supporting the farmers at Vijay Chowk. They were going towards Rashtrapati Bhavan with their demands. But Delhi Police personnel misbehaved with them. Ravindra Bittu said that "We were beaten up badly by police personnel". On this allegation of Congress MP, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that "I will take full cognizance of it. The security of every MP is our responsibility".

DMK MP has also made serious allegations. The MP said in the Lok Sabha that "Two to three people came to my room in Tamil Nadu House calling themselves employees of Intelligence Bureau (IB). They started answering questions from me. They questioned what issue we are going to raise in Lok Sabha. What will be the issue of Tamil Nadu?" On this charge of the MP, Om Birla said that "Write a complaint letter. We will investigate the matter".
