New Delhi: The Congress has now opened a front against the central government on the issue of rising inflation. Congress is going to protest on this issue on the streets across the country on Thursday (April 7). Congress national spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh has given information in this regard while holding a press conference in Lucknow. This was the first press conference of the Congress after the humiliating defeat in the Uttar Pradesh elections.

During the press conference, Gaurav Vallabh said that 62 crore food donors are being pressed under the burden of tax. On the rising prices of petrol and diesel, Gaurav Vallabh said that every day PM Modi's good morning message comes and the price of petrol and diesel increases by 80 paise. After increasing 14 times in 16 days, the price of petrol and diesel has increased by Rs 10 per liter. He said that in the last 8 years, Rs 26.51 lakh crore has been deposited from the tax on petrol and diesel.

Gaurav Vallabh claimed that in the last 8 years every family of India has given 1 lakh rupees in the name of fuel tax. From March till now, there has been an increase in LPG by Rs 140 and 50 paise. He said that the toll tax has increased from 10 to 18 percent. This means people have to pay Rs 6120 crore on the roads. The government has withdrawn the subsidy on home loans and has also reduced the PF. He said that there is only one purpose to rob people and that is Modinomics. The government will have to return 1 lakh 60 thousand 361 crores.
