New Delhi: The Congress on Sunday night issued its third list of 76 candidates for the second phase of the Gujarat Assembly Polls, the filing of nominations for that ends tomorrow.

The Congress party, which has been looking for to get out the BJP from power in the western state, in advance declared the names of 86 candidates in two phases.

The Congress party, however, could not confirm the names of its nominees in 20 more seats.

Congress general secretary Oscar Fernandes issued the third list to the media tonight.

The released list marked at least 11 contestants from Scheduled Tribes and three from Scheduled Caste communities.

The Congress has been out of power in the decisive poll-bound state for over 20 years.

The polling for the two-phase Polls in Gujarat, having total 182 seats, will be held on December 9 and 14 and votes will be counted on December 18.

Eighty-nine seats of Saurashtra and South Gujarat constituency are going to cast votes in the first phase, at the same time as the remaining 93 seats in the central and northern region would cast their polls in the second phase.
