Gwalior: The Congress has begun to edge its preparations for next month's assembly by-elections in Madhya Pradesh. The by-election to 27 assembly constituencies in the state is taking place out of which 16 seats come from Gwalior and Chambal division, which are considered to be the non-discriminatory fort of Scindia. Out of these 16 seats, 9 seats are Gurjar Bahul, so the Congress has made a plan to unload the pilot to hit the Scindia. So there can be interesting competition between two close friends.

It may be noted that in March 2020, when Scindia resigned from the Congress, 22 MLAs had left the Congress in support of him and as a result kamal Nath-led government fell in the state. The 15-month-old Kamal Nath government's fall had shocked the Congress. Later, all the MLAs who resigned from the Congress had joined the BJP. Now, in the bye-election, the BJP has given tickets to most of the MLAs.

In an interview, the pilot said that Madhya Pradesh Congress unit President Kamal Nath has spoken to me for campaigning in the bye-election. The pilot further said, "As a dedicated Congress worker, I will be entrusted with the task, I will do that. Most of the constituencies with elections are adjoining Rajasthan. As reports say, Ajay Maken, in-Charge of Rajasthan, has also discussed it with the pilot.
