New Delhi [India], Feb 7: Congress President Rahul Gandhi arrives at Congress Party headquarter. He will be interacting with delegations of party leaders and workers from across the country. Congress President Rahul Gandhi will meet and interact with the party workers and general public today around 9:30 am at the Congress party headquarters in Delhi. This is the first time that Rahul Gandhi will directly meet and speak with the general public after taking over as Congress President. Reports suggest that from here on, Rahul Gandhi is likely to meet office bearers twice a week and have a once-a-week meeting with the general public at the party headquarters. On 22nd December 2017, Rahul Gandhi chaired his first Congress Working Committee meeting after being elected as the party chief. Rahul Gandhi was elected unopposed as the Congress chief on December 11 and took charge of the party's reins on December 16.

Underlining that PM Narendra Modi had personally inked the Rafale deal, Congress president Rahul Gandhi dubbed the contract with France for the fighter jets a "scam". He alleged irregularities were the reason behind the Centre's refusal to provide the agreement's details.

Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman told Rajya Sabha on Monday that details of the deal could not be made public since inter-governmental agreements were classified information.
