New Delhi: Congress executive chairman Sonia Gandhi, quoting the alleged WhatsApp conversation of Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami, said on Friday that others have now been completely exposed to the certificate of patriotism and nationalism. In a meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), it was decided that the election of the Chairperson in the Congress will be held in May this year.

In a meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), she also alleged that the government has shown shocking insensitivity and arrogance in the name of interaction with farmers' organisations. Sonia further said, "Parliament session is going to start in a week. It is a Budget Session, but there are many issues of public interest which need to be fully discussed. Whether the Government agrees to it, it has to be seen. ''

Referring to the farmers' protest against central agricultural laws, she alleged that the farmers' protest is continuing and the government has shown insensitivity and arrogance in the name of dialogue. Sonia also said, "It is clear that the laws were made in haste and parliament was not given the opportunity to assess their implications. We reject these laws because they will destroy the foundations of food security. ''
