New Delhi: Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi has attacked the BJP over the gang rape incident in Hathras in Uttar Pradesh, Sonia Gandhi said, she is standing by her party bench demanding justice for the family and said in a video message that the country will raise its voice against injustice and the BJP will not be allowed to break the country.

Sonia Gandhi further said that today crores of people of the country are in grief and resentment after the incident and said that what happened to the innocent girl of Hathras is a blot on our society. Sonia Gandhi said that I would like to ask whether it is a sin to be a girl, whether it is a crime to be a girl of the poor, what the Uttar Pradesh government was doing, he said that for weeks, the call for justice of the family was not heard, the whole case was tried to be suppressed, the right treatment was not given at the moment.

Sonia Gandhi, while accusing the government, said that I would like to say that Hathras has not died but has been killed.  This has happened because of the neglect of an inexorable Government, its administration and the Government.  He further said that his body was not handed over to the family after death.  It is a gross sin that a mother has not been given the last time to leave her daughter. Sonia said that the body of the victim was burnt, even after death, the dignity of the person, our Hindu religion also says this.
