Congress resigns starts in a queue, now Mumbai state president quits

Mumbai: After the 2019 Lok Sabha election results, the Congress continues to resign. Now Mumbai Congress unit president Milind Deora has resigned from his post on Sunday. He has suggested setting up of a three-member committee to lead the state Congress for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections.

Milind Deora is said to be reaching Delhi and can handle a major responsibility. In Maharashtra, the Congress is currently facing a major challenge to take iron from the BJP (BJP)-Shiv Sena alliance and the deprived Aghadi as the alliance between the two parties has become stronger day by day, while the Congress has weakened. In the wake of the upcoming assembly elections, the Congress' concern has been heightened.

Jyotiraditya Scindia has also resigned as the party's national general secretary, though her resignation has not yet been accepted. His resignation will be accepted only after he becomes the new national president. It may be mentioned that earlier CM Kamal Nath had also resigned as Madhya Pradesh Congress President. Besides him, General Secretary in-charge Deepak Bavaria, senior lawyer and National President of the Legal Department Vivek Tankha has also resigned. The resignation of any Congress leader is yet to be accepted.
