'Deep-rooted corruption': Congress Scoffs At BJP As Road Breaks When MLA Cracks Coconut At Inaugural Event In UP

Lucknow: "Corruption has so deep roots in the Yogi Adityanath government that roads are falling down," Congress stated last Saturday, referring to the BJP. The Congress is referring to an instance in which a newly constructed road crumbled after an MLA blew coconuts on it to inaugurate it. The coconut did not break during this time, according to reports, but the road did. Indeed, on December 3, when BJP MLA Suchi Chaudhary arrived in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, to open a road, he burst coconuts.

The coconut did not explode in the interim, but the road did. Suchi Chaudhary, enraged by the 'humiliation,' staged a dharna demanding an investigation into the road construction. According to some stories, the gravel from the road was afterwards removed for sampling.' MLA and her husband, Aishwarya Chaudhary, have charged the administration of corruption, claiming that just 700 metres of the 7.5-kilometer road will be built.

Let us remind you that the Defence Corridor, Purvanchal Expressway, Kushinagar International Airport, Jewar Airport (Asia's largest airport), and nine new medical colleges in Varanasi were all recently launched in Uttar Pradesh. PM Modi is set to open many projects this month, including AIIMS Gorakhpur, Ambedkar School of Economics, and the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. Not long ago, BJP leader Akhilesh Yadav lamented that "half of the central institutions, hospitals, and motorways being built under Yogi administration were initiated by his government, which was sanctioned by the UPA government."
