Bhopal: BJP minister Vishvas Sarang in Madhya Pradesh has recently made a statement that has angered Congress. In fact, last Saturday, the Minister made a statement saying, "The problem of inflation has not come in a day or two. Inflation would have been under control if the country's first Prime Minister and his party had left the economy in good condition.'' At the same time, he added, 'If anyone is credited with raising inflation by making the economy sluggish after the country's independence, it goes to the Nehru family. Inflation does not rise in a day or two. The foundation of the economy is not laid in a day or two. Jawaharlal Nehru's speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort on August 15, 1947, has led to the state of the country's economy due to the same mistakes.''
Minister Vishvas Sarang's statement did not go down well with the Congress and Madhya Pradesh Congress spokesperson KK Mishra said, "Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's 1947 speech by qualified circus minister Vishvas Sarang is citing Nehru's speech as the reason for rising inflation in the country. He must not have been born at that time. As medical education minister, can he tell if Nehru was the one who was responsible for thousands of deaths due to lack of beds, oxygen, and remdesivir during the Coronavirus epidemic?'' Tell you that BJP minister Vishvas Sarang also claimed that the Narendra Modi government has strengthened the economy in the last seven years, according to a well-known website. He also claimed that inflation has come down under BJP rule and people's income has increased.
In the meantime, he also taunted that "Congress workers should go to 10 Janpath and protest. At that time, the country's economy was mainly based on agriculture, but Jawaharlal Nehru did not pay heed to it. Ignored it. Seventy percent of our population depended on agriculture, but they did not care. The rural economy was sustainable and self-reliant. He put his Western mindset in it and destroyed the village economy." He further alleged, 'Nehru's wrong policies are responsible for the current situation. He said industrialization was fine, but it should have been agrarian. Problems such as the Kashmir dispute, internal security, and cross-border issues are and still persist in Nehru's time. These problems have damaged our economy.'
