Jaipur: The Congress is not liking the criticism of the Ashok Gehlot government in Udaipur for the brutal murder of a Hindu tailor on Wednesday. Congress has reprimanded its own leader for criticizing Gehlot, who is considered close to the Gandhi family. In fact, its leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam has been slammed for his remarks questioning the action of the Gehlot government regarding Kanhaiyalal's murder.

The Congress has said that his remarks are devoid of facts, they should have thought about it at least once before crossing the "Lakshman Rekha". Tailor Kanhaiya Lal was brutally killed by two men in Udaipur, Rajasthan and confessed to the crime in a video saying they were taking revenge for an 'insult to Islam'. In a tweet, Krishnam questioned the Gehlot government's action, questioning why Kanhaiya was not provided security even after receiving threats and alleged that the police and administration were equally responsible along with the killers.

He asked why action has not been taken against SSP, and DIG till now. Krishnam also asked whether the Iqbal of the Congress government in Rajasthan was completely over. Taking a jibe at Krishnam, Congress national general secretary Jairam Ramesh told him on Twitter that he should have thought about it at least once before crossing the 'Lakshman Rekha' for the second time.
