BJP takes a dig at Congress for distributing election manifesto in mosques in UP

Lucknow: In view of the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress party has put all its effort to woo Muslims. The Congress, which has been out of power in the state for three decades, now wants to return to Lucknow with the help of Muslims. The Congress, which has been eyeing the SP's Muslim vote bank, is now trying to woo the Muslims. The party has set a target of bringing its 16-point resolution to the Muslim households.

The Congress party has decided to distribute its resolution letters outside each mosque after Friday prayers. In its resolution also, the Congress has included issues that will enable it to attack the Yogi government by showing itself to be Muslim friendly. The Congress resolution contains promises ranging from withdrawing cases registered in anti-NRC riots and enacting laws against mob lynching. The party has promised to provide scholarships to Muslim students, modernize madrasas, investigate alleged irregularities in waqf properties in 30 years and punish the culprits, investigate the riots back, open Unani medical colleges in each division, Cow slaughter cases will be withdrawn and Muslims will be specially recruited in the police.

On the other hand, the BJP has attacked Congress' policy of Muslim appeasement and tweeted, "From opposition to Ram Mandir to shedding tears for terrorists, congress has always played the politics of appeasement. Now the UP Congress has embarked on a mission to distribute its resolution paper outside mosques. Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi should explain who has the 'first right' on the promises of her election resolution paper?'
