New Delhi: Rising oil prices have added to the woes of the people of the country. Inflation is at its peak. The Opposition has started cornering the Central Government on the issue of price rise. The Congress party will hold protests in front of petrol pumps across the country on June 11 against rising petrol and diesel prices. The skyrocketing prices of petrol and diesel are worsening the economic conditions of the people. The price of petrol has crossed Rs 100 per litre in many states. In such a situation, people are facing a lot of difficulties.

The Congress has been constantly raising its voice over the price rise on the people. Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi had attacked the BJP government at the Centre saying the process of unlocking is beginning in several states. While paying the bill at the petrol pump, you will see a growth in the price rise done by the Modi government. At present, the price of petrol in Mumbai has come down to close to Rs 102 a litre.

State-owned oil companies have also hiked prices on Wednesday. Today, petrol rates have gone up by 25 paise per litre while diesel by 25 paise per litre. Petrol and diesel prices have been rising steadily since May. Petrol has become costlier by 4.99 paise per litre in the last 21 days alone. On the other hand, the price of diesel has gone up by Rs 5.44 per litre.
