BJP President Amit Shah on Saturday asked the Congress to apologize for the statement given by his senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad and Saifuddin Soz on Kashmir and, along with Shah, asked the Congress to take action against both the leaders.

Addressing a rally, Amit Shah said, "After the withdrawal of support from the PDP-led coalition government by the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Congress has started showing its true colours for the next election."

After withdrawing his support from the Mehbooba Mufti government, Shah, who went for a first time on the state tour, said that staying in power is not the priority of the BJP, but the welfare of Jammu and Kashmir is their only purpose. He said, "Everyone realizes that the elections will be held here soon.

Shah said, "I can not repeat the statement given by Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad in the Rajya Sabha, and immediately after this, the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) supported his statement."

Azad had said that "Indian Army is killing more civilians than terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir." Shah also reminded the statement of the Congress leader, Soz Soz had said that former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf's statement was correct that Kashmiri citizens would prefer freedom.

BJP President said, "BJP will never let this happen, Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and it cannot change." He demanded Congress to apologize to the country for taking action against both the leaders and for both the statements.
