BHOPAL: In a remarkable move, Madhya Pradesh Congress on Saturday launched a new poster for the election campaign with a slogan viz, 'Khushali Lane Wali- Congress Hai Aane Wali' (Bringing Prosperity - Congress Approaches)

Under the watchful eye of Kamal Nath, the party's state unit head, the poster featuring five guarantees (promises) was revealed. With great enthusiasm, party members promptly took action, plastering the posters all over Madhya Pradesh, including the state capital, Bhopal. The poster's content and theme were meticulously finalized by K.K. Mishra, the State Congress media in-charge, and Piyush Bable, Kamal Nath's media advisor.

Notably, the Congress released this new poster at a time when the ongoing "objectionable posters" clash between Kamal Nath and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had been dominating the headlines for the past fortnight. These objectionable posters, complete with a QR code, were distributed across the state, fueling the political controversy leading up to the upcoming assembly polls.

Previously, the Congress media cell had introduced a poster on January 1, projecting Kamal Nath as the "future chief minister" of Madhya Pradesh. This move had initially sparked concerns among some senior party leaders. However, the controversy was later defused by senior party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh, who stated that Kamal Nath would indeed be the party's chief ministerial candidate.
