The director of Kashmir Files, Vivek Agnihotri is quite active on different issues and frequently shares his views on different things. Recently a report is circulated claiming that The Kashmir files director bought a luxurious apartment. The director has responded to the reports that he, along with his actor-producer wife Pallavi Joshi, has bought lavish apartments since the release and success of his latest film The Kashmir Files.
According to a report, Vivek Agnihotri and Pallavi Joshi bought had an apartment worth ₹17.92 crores in Mumbai’s Versova, and paid a stamp duty of ₹1.07 crore for the registration of the deal. Responding to this report. Vivek tweeted on Sunday, “I am really grateful to all the Congressis, AAPiyas and unemployed Bollywoodiyas for building new apartments for me everyday and also for furnishing them with luxury furniture. I really liked the sofa which came from 10 Janpath. Thank you everyone. Thank you @ikaveri ji.”
Vivek Agnihotri is all set for The Kashmir Files part 2. In an interview he said, “I have decided that I will bring out the whole truth and its title will be The Kashmir Files Unreported. Aur yeh main isi saal ke andar andar leke aunga, yeh maine aaj drar nishchay karliya hai (I will bring it within this year, I am determined now). I will let everyone know very soon whether Unreported will be in the form of a web series or documentary. I'll divulge the entire truth.”
Speaking of Kashmir Files was made on a budget of ₹15 crore and ended up grossing over ₹350 crore worldwide, largely due to strong word of mouth. The film, directed by Pallavi’s husband Vivek Agnihotri, dealt with the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley over 30 years ago. The film beat out several big releases like Ranbir Kapoor’s Shams Hera, Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, and Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj in the box office race.
