New Delhi: The Congress has started following in the footsteps of left parties ahead of next month's assembly elections. In the era of social media and digital campaigns, the Congress headed by Sonia Gandhi will target the BJP by releasing booklets. According to media reports, the first booklet on farmers' issues will be unveiled on Wednesday.

The Congress is planning to release it at several centres in all the five electoral states. Several leaders like Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, Randeep Surjewala, Sachin Pilot and Rajeev Shukla have been directed to hold press conferences in Lucknow, Chandigarh, Varanasi and Jalandhar. Other leaders will face the media at different places. The party plans to prepare booklets on issues such as inflation, unemployment, economic slowdown, internal security and atrocities against women, SC and ST.

Tell me, the Congress is working its best to regain its lost political ground. On the one hand, party's national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is trying to give the Congress victory in Uttar Pradesh. In Punjab, party's state unit president Navjot Singh Sidhu and CM Charanjeet Singh Channi are in command. It remains to be seen how much the Congress can achieve in these assembly elections.
