Recently, a new case of crime has come up from Ludhiana where Gagandeep Singh alias Dev (30), owner of Quality House Restaurant in front of Thana Division Three, gave up his life. After receiving information in this case, police reached the spot and the police recovered the suicide note from the deceased. Dev has written in just three lines that "The policeman used to ask for fifty lakh rupees from him. He used to threaten him. The constable is responsible for his death".

The police have started investigating the case. According to the news, Dev's father Amarjeet Singh told that 'The restaurant is currently closed due to the lockdown. He said that a constable posted in police station division three is Dev's friend. The constable's family is abroad and the constable also used to talk to Dev to go abroad. The constable demanded fifty lakh rupees from Dev so that he can go abroad. Dev told him to wait till the lockdown gets over.

Crime gets increased even in lockdown, new case of robbery surfaced

Amarjeet Singh said that he and his younger son had gone to police station division three at night. Talked to the officers there and told the constable not to interfere in their home affairs. Amarjeet Singh said that late-night, the constable and another person were talking to Dev outside the police station. Dev was upset after coming home from there. Police personnel called Dev about 80 times from late-night till six in the morning, but Dev did not pick up. After having breakfast in the morning, Dev went to his room. He went to the room and hanged himself with his wife's scarf.
