Good news for Delhiites. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has started the initial construction work of the 5th Metro Bridge on the Yamuna River. These bridges are being constructed as per Phase-4 of Delhi Metro. The special thing is that this bridge is coming on Majlis Park-Mojpur corridor. With the construction of this bridge, the facilities of metro traffic will become easier and more simple. This bridge will be 560 meters long. There are currently 4 bridges of the Delhi Metro on the Yamuna River.
The height of this bridge will be between the Signature Bridge and the Wazirabad Bridge. This will give passengers the feeling of swinging the metro between the three bridges. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation was approved by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) last month to construct the bridge. The tribunal had directed to fully follow the standards required for environmental protection in the construction of the bridge. Due to the rocky ground, the piling process is being adopted in the construction of the bridge. Along with this, many new experiments will be done according to technology, so that the bridge construction with eight spans, nine pillars can be given a facelift in this 560 meter long bridge.
News came a day before Independence Day, that construction work of Tughlakabad-Aerocity Metro Corridor has started under Phase-4 of Delhi Metro. For this, Delhi Metro has contracted construction work to construct four elevated metro stations from Sangam Vihar to Saket-ji. Under this, Sangam Vihar, Khanpur-Deoli, Ambedkar Nagar and Saket-Ji Metro stations will be constructed. All these stations will be elevated.
