Contempt case: Debate on the punishment of Prashant Bhushan in Supreme Court today

New Delhi: Advocate Prashant Bhushan has filed an application before the Supreme Court after he was found guilty in contempt case. In which there has been a demand to postpone the hearing on his sentence in connection with this case. The application states that the hearing on the sentence be adjourned till a review petition is filed in this regard and it is not considered by the court. The quantum of punishment in this case and the issue is to be debated today.

Earlier on August 14, the Supreme Court convicted Prashant Bhushan in the case. The case is being heard by a bench of Justice Arun Mishra, Justice VR testimony and Justice Krishna Murari, in which he has held Bhushan guilty of contempt and the issue of quantum of his sentence will be debated on August 20.
