CHENNAI: The updated versions of the 650cc twins, the Interceptor and the Continental GT 650, will be unveiled in India soon by Royal Enfield.

As part of their MY-2023 upgrade, the retro-inspired motorcycles are likely to get alloy wheels and a fresh paint job. Apart from these changes, the model will also get an onboard diagnostic system to be OBD-II compliant.

Royal Enfield Interceptor and Continental GT 650, two of India's most reasonably priced parallel-twin motorcycles, offer retro-inspired styling, respectable performance and state-of-the-art safety features.

For many young riders, the lack of feel-good features like alloy wheels with tubeless tires was a deal-breaker. The company is currently working to resolve the MY-2023 upgrade issue.

With its large fuel tank, round headlights, dual upswept exhaust and single-piece seats, the 2023 Royal Enfield 650 twins will adopt a retro design aesthetic.

Fork gaiters, optional bar-end mirrors, tubular grab rails, squared-off taillamps, a semi-digital twin-pod instrument console and other features will be included on the motorcycle. Blacked-out alloy wheels shod with tubeless tires will be used for both the Interceptor and the Continental GT.

The same OBD-2 compliant 648cc parallel-twin engine that produces 47hp and 52Nm of torque will be used to power both the 2023 Interceptor and the Continental GT 650. On both the motorcycles, a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch is in charge. transmission duties.

The 2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor and Continental GT 650 will feature disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels as well as dual-channel ABS for better braking performance for the safety of the rider.

Both the big bikes should get twin shock absorber units at the rear and 41mm telescopic forks with fork gaiters at the front to handle the suspension duties.

Royal Enfield should announce the pricing and availability details of the Interceptor and Continental GT 650 at its launch event, which is expected soon. We anticipate that both the motorcycles will be priced higher in India than their current generation counterparts.
