 A controversial poster showing Goddess Kali smoking is hurting the sentiments of people. As per the reports, filmmaker Leena  Manimekalai shared a poster in which a woman dressed in a costume portraying the Goddess Kali smoking. The portrayal of goddess Kali does not go well with a section of social media users. As they demanded the withdrawal of  the poster and some of the social media users have also demanded the arrest of Leena Manimekalai.

Sharing the fact that the film was part of “Rhythms of Canada” segment at the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto, Leena said, “ Super thrilled to launch of my recent film-today at @AgaKhanMusemeum part of its  ‘Rhythms of Canada’. Feeling pumped with my crew”. She had also shared a poster along with this tweet.

A Delhi-based Lawyer on Monday filled a police complaint against the director Leena Manimekalai over this controversial poster portraying a woman dressed like Goddess Kali smoking.

The poster was shared by Leena on the 2nd of July. After which it sparked massive outrage on Twitter. Users called it a deliberate and malicious act intended to hurt the sentiments of the Hindu religion. While many called it another attempt of hurting and targeting Hinduism by Filmmakers and directors.
