1986, Quarter final match of Football World Cup and England clash with Argentina. This is a match that hardly any football fan will ever forget. This is a match in which a goal was scored which is the most disputed goal in the history of this game. This goal is famous in the world of football in the name of Hand of God. This one goal broke England's dream of becoming World Champion, and Argentina won the world after two matches thanks to the same goal of Diego Maradona. Let us tell you the whole story of 'Hand of God'.

Maradona's disputed 'Hand of God' goal: Two strong teams clashed in the World Cup quarter-final match being played in Mexico City. England and Argentina's match was extremely thorny. There were no goals in the first half but Argentina and England scored 1–1 in the second half. However, something happened just 6 minutes before the end of the match, which broke the heart of England's team and its millions of fans.

This is how Maradona got the ball to Diego Maradona and passed the ball to his partner Horge Valdeno. The ball had gone to Maradona but he had prepared the entire blueprint to score. Maradona did pass to Waldona, but he could not handle the ball. The ball went out of Waldona's feet and went to England's left midfielder Steve Hodge. Steve Hodge could have given Argentina a penalty corner by hitting the ball out but he hit the ball towards his goalkeeper Peter Shilton. The ball was about to go into the hands of Shildon when Maradona came at lightning speed and reached near the ball.

Maradona attempted to hit the header on the ball but he got his hand on the ball before his head and the ball went inside the goal, punching the England goalkeeper. Maradona's comrades did not understand anything but they ran fast to celebrate. England players, on the other hand, went to match referee Ali bin Nesser and told them that the ball had hit Maradona's hand. The referee did not listen to the English players and called it a goal. Later, when seen in the replay, the ball was far away from Marodana's head and it was scored due to his hand. The match referee did not see it all and Argentina won the quarterfinal match 2–1.

Match referee Bin Nesser clarified after the match that he did not see the ball so he looked at the other referee Dochave but he also did not give the handball signal. In such a situation, he gave a decision in favor of Argentina. After this victory, Argentina beat Belgium 2–0 in the semi-finals and in the final, they defeated West Germany to claim the World Cup again.

Maradona's clarification on the hand of God: After the match Maradona (Diego Maradona) said on this goal that he was waiting for his team players but no one came. After this Maradona shouted at him and said, hug me, otherwise the referee will not give this goal. After this, in the year 2005, Maradona honestly told about this goal. He told that the ball was not hit on the head. Maradona deliberately put his left hand on the ball, which led to that goal.
